- About the Opportunity:
The Cybersecurity Engineering Lead is responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of the organization''s security architecture across endpoints, networks, cloud environments, and enterprise services. This role plays a critical part in integrating security controls, supporting incident response, and ensuring compliance with evolving regulatory and cybersecurity frameworks. The position provides advanced engineering analysis, supports vulnerability management, contributes to Zero Trust and modernization efforts, and offers Tier 3 expertise to resolve complex security challenges. It also involves guiding cross-functional stakeholders and maintaining security documentation and standards to align with best practices and organizational risk.
- Responsibilities:
• Design, implement, and enhance security architecture across multiple environments
• Develop and integrate security controls in collaboration with operations and monitoring teams
• Support incident response and remediation activities
• Ensure systems comply with regulatory, policy, and cybersecurity framework requirements
• Conduct advanced engineering analysis and support vulnerability and POA&M remediation
• Contribute to Zero Trust and security modernization initiatives
• Provide Tier 3 expertise for complex security issue resolution
• Guide cross-functional stakeholders on security practices and standards
• Maintain documentation and security standards aligned with industry best practices and organizational risk posture
- Requirements:
• US Citizenship required
• In-depth knowledge of information security operations, solutions, and technologies, including design, implementation, operation, and maintenance of security systems
• Familiarity with best practices for security architecture and engineering
• Hands-on experience with at least seven of the following areas: Endpoint Security, Application Security, DLP, DNSSEC, Email Security, Encryption, Firewall Management, Intrusion Prevention/Detection, Log Analysis, Network Access Control, Packet Capture/Protocol Analysis, Security Policy Enforcement, Two-Factor Authentication, Vulnerability and Configuration Scanning, Web-filtering/Web Content Security
• High level of relevant experience and skills
• Strong project management skills for planning and executing large-scale technical projects
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Effective teamwork and communication skills across management levels
• Commitment to high standards of respect, excellence, and customer service
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance
- Pay Range and Compensation Package:
• Salary range: $155,000 to $165,000
• Total compensation includes bonus and profit-sharing opportunities based on performance
• The salary depends on factors such as location, knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, and contract-specific budget constraints
