The position involves collaborating with product, engineering, and cross-functional teams to solve complex data challenges and deliver high-quality, reliable data solutions tailored to customer needs.
Responsibilities
- Extend, optimize, and maintain core data models supporting reports, machine learning, and generative AI workloads
- Automate and operationalize ML model workflows to improve efficiency and reduce manual processes
- Collaborate with engineering, product, and analytics teams to deliver integrated customer-facing data products
- Implement frameworks for data quality, observability, and governance to ensure reliable data at scale
- Document data flows, integration contracts, and operational runbooks to facilitate scaling and handoff
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in data engineering with hands-on exposure to machine learning, MLOps, or backend workflow automation
- Proficiency in SQL and Python, with experience using ML frameworks
- Expertise in modern data stack tools such as dbt, Snowflake, and Looker/Omni; experience with Kafka or Flink is a plus
- Strong knowledge of semantic layer design, dimensional modeling, and data architecture best practices
- Familiarity with data governance, data quality, observability, and analytics/security best practices
- Experience building products using LLMs, embeddings, and ML technologies, including work with Snowflake Cortex for generative AI, recommendations, or forecasting
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills for working across global, cross-functional teams
Compensation
NYC, SF Bay Area, and Seattle: $164,000 — $205,000 USD annually All other U.S. locations: $151,000 — $194,200 USD annually
This role may be eligible for a variable compensation program. Final compensation will vary based on experience, location, and leveling.
