2. About the Opportunity
: The
Data Automation Engineer
will drive automation efforts by identifying opportunities to streamline workflows and reduce manual effort. This role involves designing, building, and maintaining automation solutions that integrate across cloud and data platforms. It is key to delivering measurable value by creating scalable, reliable automations that improve efficiency and support business goals. The position requires collaborating with stakeholders to prioritize work and iterating based on real-world impact.
3. Responsibilities
:
- Identify and prioritize automation opportunities with stakeholders based on impact
- Design end-to-end automation solutions using appropriate tools and patterns
- Build and maintain automations spanning AWS, Azure, and Snowflake platforms
- Develop production-ready automation code using Python, SQL, C#, and TypeScript/JavaScript
- Integrate AI where beneficial for classification, enrichment, validation, or decision-making
- Track usage, validate impact, and optimize or retire automations based on results
- Identify and replace manual or inefficient processes with reliable automation
- Document reusable patterns and promote systematic automation practices
4. Requirements
:
- Experience building automations on cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure and data platforms like Snowflake
- Strong development skills in Python and SQL; experience with JavaScript or C#
- Proficiency with job scheduling and orchestration tools (e.g., serverless functions, Airflow, cron)
- Demonstrated success delivering automations that reduce cost, save time, or improve reliability
- Experience integrating APIs, internal services, and third-party tools
- Understanding of AI-assisted automation with practical judgment on appropriate use
- Ability to manage the full automation lifecycle from requirements to deployment and measurement
5. Pay Range and Compensation Package
:
- The salary range for this role is $110,000 - $125,000 depending on location and experience.
