Role summary

The Data Automation Engineer will design, build, and maintain large-scale content automation workflows, including data model architecture and SQL-driven data sources. This role involves owning platform enhancement cycles from discovery to delivery, serving as the internal subject matter expert for the primary content automation platform, and building custom integrations using APIs. The engineer will partner cross-functionally to capture feedback and ensure platform alignment with business needs, provide post-deployment support, and mentor junior team members. Additionally, the role requires leading change management initiatives, identifying adoption risks, and acting as a technical project lead for concurrent workstreams, fostering a culture of continuous learning and problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities

Content Automation & Platform Engineering

  • Design, build, and maintain large-scale content automation workflows, including data model architecture, SQLdriven data sources, and template-to-field mapping for automated client-facing deliverables
  • Own platform enhancement cycles from discovery through delivery—capturing business requirements, producing solution designs, and managing implementation against scope, timeline, and quality benchmarks
  • Serve as the internal SME for the firm’s primary content automation platform, leveraging native capabilities and API extensions to build custom integrations and solutions (REST, SQL/SOQL, web services)
  • Partner cross-functionally with Technology, Sales, Client Service, Investments, and Marketing to capture feedback, surface enhancement opportunities, and ensure platform alignment with business needs
  • Provide ongoing post-deployment support and continuous optimization, driving measurable improvements in automation performance and business outcomes
  • Mentor junior team members and develop reusable frameworks, best practices, and internal playbooks

Transformation & Change Management

  • Lead change management efforts across automation and integration initiatives—developing communication strategies that clearly convey value to both executive and technical stakeholders
  • Identify adoption risks and barriers proactively, designing mitigation plans that ensure smooth rollouts and sustained usage
  • Act as technical project lead across multiple concurrent workstreams, maintaining delivery discipline around scope, timelines, and stakeholder alignment
  • Establish feedback loops with business leaders and digital champions to continuously refine platform direction and adoption strategy
  • Champion a culture of continuous learning, forward-thinking problem-solving, and openness to organizational change

Requirements

  • Experience in SaaS implementation, solutions architecture, automation engineering, or technology consulting
  • Experience owning implementation, integration, or solutions development for enterprise SaaS platform
  • Hands-on content or report automation experience
  • Familiarity leading change management initiatives tied to technology adoption or transformation programs
  • Background in enterprise platform consulting (e.g., Seismic, Salesforce, Adobe) or solutions architecture is strongly preferred
  • SQL mastery required; solid understanding of database fundamentals and data modeling
  • Experience with REST APIs, SOQL, and web services for system integrations
  • Proficiency with SaaS platforms, data visualization tools, and content automation technology
  • Familiarity with Agile/SCRUM methodologies; product owner experience preferred
  • Strong analytical foundation with above-average proficiency in business intelligence concepts
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, data, or a technology-related discipline from an accredited institution's
  • Platform certifications (Seismic, Salesforce, etc.) are a strong differentiator
