About the Role

The Specialist, Quality Assurance Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated test solutions that ensure the quality and reliability of software products. The position emphasizes scalable UI and API test automation while leveraging AI tools to enhance test case creation and maintenance. This role is critical in supporting continuous integration and delivery, enabling faster and higher-quality releases for the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites using AI technologies and Playwright for frontend and backend testing
  • Implement best practices in test automation, including Page Object Model or Screenplay patterns, parallel execution, and stable selectors
  • Use AI-powered testing tools to generate, optimize, and maintain test cases and data
  • Integrate automation with CI/CD pipelines to support continuous testing
  • Perform targeted manual testing for story verification, exploratory testing, and edge-case validation
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to provide early feedback on design and implementation
  • Create automated API tests and contract checks
  • Analyze test and production data to identify trends, risks, and prevent defects through Root Cause Analysis
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies and maintain quality records and compliance documentation

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related discipline
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in QA, testing, or quality engineering
  • Proficiency with automation tools, preferably Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium
  • Programming skills in JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, or Python
  • Experience with AI tools such as GitHub Copilot, AI agents, or MCP server
  • Familiarity with development tools (VSCode, GitHub, GitHub Actions, Testfully, or Postman)
  • Experience with databases including MySQL, Postgres, or DynamoDB
  • Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

Nice to Have

  • Quality certifications (e.g., ISTQB or equivalent)
  • Familiarity with a wide range of quality tools and methodologies

Compensation

$80,000 — $90,000

The role is eligible to participate in an annual incentive program. Final compensation is influenced by skill set, experience, and location.
