About the Role
The Senior Data Scientist, People Analytics will play a key role in advancing how data, analytics, and AI inform talent decisions within the organization. This position involves partnering with the People Team and business stakeholders to answer critical talent-related questions and deliver actionable insights. The role requires building scalable data foundations and analytics products, shaping modern People Data Science practices, and influencing decisions at senior leadership levels.
Responsibilities
- Communicate clear, business-relevant insights about talent using advanced data modeling
- Explore and apply AI to enhance insight generation, decision support, and experimentation
- Design and maintain People data infrastructure, including data pipelines and BigQuery models
- Develop scalable analytics tools and dashboards, including AI-enabled products, in collaboration with Data Engineering and HR Operations
- Partner with the People Team and business leaders to define and analyze key talent questions
- Lead data initiatives across functions such as Recruiting, Talent Management, and DEIB
- Promote a culture of data-informed decision-making across the entire organization
- Translate complex statistical analysis into actionable recommendations for non-technical stakeholders
Requirements
- BA/BS degree in a quantitative field such as Economics, Statistics, or Psychology
- Minimum 4 years of experience in data science or analytics
- At least 1 year specifically within People Data Science or People Analytics
- Proven proficiency in SQL for querying large datasets
- Familiarity with programming languages such as R or Python and visualization tools like Tableau
- Experience with managing data pipelines and data warehousing environments
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for presenting to senior leadership
- Proven ability to independently drive projects and collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams
Compensation
Expected Salary Ranges (by location):
- Tier 1 (SF, Bay Area, San Jose, NYC, Seattle): $197,200 — $255,200 USD
- Tier 2 (Austin, DC, CA, MA, NJ, WA): $177,700 — $229,200 USD
- Tier 3 (All other US locations): $167,500 — $216,700 USD
