  • About the Opportunity:

The Senior Platform Engineer - Shields Enablement plays a critical role in executing the technology roadmap by developing and deploying interoperable healthcare digital solutions. This position ensures secure, scalable, and compliant healthcare data exchange and supports the integration of AI models and third-party systems. The role also serves as a technical liaison across teams, mentors engineers, and helps establish development processes that align with product goals. This position is essential for advancing the platform’s capabilities and operational excellence.

  • Responsibilities:

• Apply principles of well-architected frameworks to design and deploy foundational platform functions.

• Design, develop, and maintain healthcare interoperability solutions for secure data exchange.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into technical and architectural designs.

• Implement backend solutions using Java and/or .NET, ensuring security and compliance with standards such as HL7 and FHIR.

• Develop front-end applications using React for user-friendly healthcare interfaces.

• Integrate third-party healthcare systems, APIs, and data sources for seamless interoperability.

• Work with cloud architects to deploy and manage solutions on Google Cloud Platform.

• Implement and maintain DevOps practices including CI/CD pipelines for application deployment.

• Collaborate with data engineers to analyze healthcare data and support decision-making.

• Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies relevant to the role.

• Partner with product and solutions teams to minimize one-off integrations by developing repeatable mechanisms.

• Design, develop, and deploy operational management and support tools, including monitoring and logging.

• Assist in ensuring compliance with SLAs or OLAs in collaboration with implementation and services teams.

• Support and advise on executing the platform’s technical roadmap.

• Mentor and coach technical team members to foster growth and systems thinking.

• Collaborate on defining and implementing SDLC processes aligned with product development cycles.

  • Requirements:

• Experience designing and deploying healthcare interoperability solutions.

• Proficiency with backend development using Java and/or .NET.

• Familiarity with healthcare data standards such as HL7 and FHIR.

• Front-end development experience using React.

• Knowledge of cloud platforms, preferably Google Cloud Platform.

• Experience with DevOps practices including CI/CD pipelines.

• Ability to work collaboratively across teams and translate requirements into technical solutions.

• Strong analytical skills to manage and interpret healthcare data.

• Experience mentoring or coaching technical team members.

• Understanding of software development life cycles and product development life cycles.
