Staff Software Engineer (Platform)

• About the Opportunity:

The Staff Software Engineer (Platform) will develop and maintain core infrastructure and development services that support internal engineering teams and customers. This role is key to designing, building, and scaling core services such as authentication, database, API, SDK, and related tools. The position contributes by accelerating engineering productivity and enhancing platform reliability and scalability.

• Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate product requirements into technical solutions

• Develop and maintain core platform services

• Continuously improve deployment, configuration, monitoring, and maintenance processes

• Requirements:

• Experience working within a Linux ecosystem

• Support for high availability distributed production systems

• Infrastructure as code experience with tools like Terraform, Ansible, Chef, or SaltStack

• Familiarity with public cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, Azure)

• Proficiency in Python or Golang programming

• B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience

• Strong English skills and ability to work independently within a distributed team

• Willingness to learn about supply chain security

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience managing large Golang monorepos

• Knowledge of Identity Providers, Single Sign-On, and authentication protocols

• Database administration skills with SQL dialects

• Experience scaling services efficiently and cost-effectively

• Understanding of microservices architecture and containerization (Docker/OCI, Kubernetes)

• Linux systems troubleshooting and debugging skills

• Interest in open source software communities

• Pay Range and Compensation Package:

• The pay range and compensation package for this role will be determined based on the candidate’s experience, skills, and other relevant factors.
