- About the Opportunity:
The Senior Staff Site Reliability Engineer role is responsible for ensuring the reliability, scalability, and operational excellence of the organization''s infrastructure and deployment systems. This position leads infrastructure strategy, shapes the platform roadmap, and drives the integration of reliability engineering and automation into the development lifecycle. The role has significant impact on product growth and operational resilience by collaborating with engineering, security, product, and leadership teams to support and enhance infrastructure capabilities.
- Responsibilities:
• Influence core product architecture to embed reliability and scalability by design
• Lead engineering of systemic solutions to prevent recurring failures
• Define long-term technical roadmap and architectural standards for deployment products
• Design and build foundational tooling, libraries, and frameworks to facilitate safe deployment and efficient operations
• Champion and advance Infrastructure as Code paradigms for complex enterprise deployments
• Serve as technical escalation point for high-impact Sev-1 incidents
• Drive strategic improvements in incident management and post-mortem processes
• Develop and evolve disaster recovery and chaos engineering programs
• Establish global standards for observability, alerting, and production readiness
• Author Architectural Decision Records and Requests for Discussion guiding technical direction
• Mentor senior and mid-level engineers to elevate technical culture
• Facilitate organization-wide technical enablement and knowledge sharing
• Partner with cross-functional leadership to align infrastructure with business needs
- Requirements:
• Strong software engineering and infrastructure architecture experience with large-scale distributed systems
• Expert knowledge of microservices, event-driven architectures, and data consistency models
• Advanced coding skills in Go (preferred) or Python
• Deep experience with Kubernetes and cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, Azure, OVH
• Extensive use of Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform, Pulumi, or Ansible
• Proven skills in designing CI/CD and GitOps systems with tools like ArgoCD
• Proficiency with observability platforms including Prometheus, Grafana, and Loki
• Solid understanding of networking, security best practices, and cloud architecture principles
• Leadership experience with infrastructure, SRE, or platform engineering teams managing production systems
• Knowledge of containerized systems, deployment architectures, and high availability strategies
• Familiarity with MongoDB, Redis, and their operational scaling considerations
• Experience supporting SaaS platforms and large-scale customer deployments
• Management of multi-cluster Kubernetes and multi-region architectures
• Ability to define and implement a long-term infrastructure vision aligned with growth
• Experience with open source software is desirable
• Active or eligible U.S. Security Clearance is a plus
- Pay Range and Compensation Package:
• The pay range and compensation package for this role will be determined based on the candidate’s experience, skills, and other relevant factors.
