Company Description

Renaissance Analytics is the technology arm of Civicognita, a parent organization dedicated to

building an impact-based economy through a framework called Impactivism. We believe

technology—especially AI—should act as a civic instrument: serving people, communities,

and planetary well-being, not replacing human judgment or agency.

Our approach is Human+. We design systems where AI agents operate inside real workflows

while humans remain meaningfully in the loop.

Role Description

In plain terms:

You’ll help build backend and agent-side code for AI-driven products. That means writing

Python, TypeScript, PHP and Go applications while integrating LLM APIs, improving how AI agents plan and execute tasks, and shipping features that run in production.

This is a hands-on internship. You won’t just observe—you’ll write code, contribute to real

systems, and see your work used by actual users and AI agents.

You will work closely with the founding team and receive direct mentorship throughout the 10-

week program.

What You’ll Work On

*Tynn.ai*
— Agent-First Project Management

*What it is:*

A live project management platform designed specifically for AI agents operating autonomously,

with humans supervising and intervening when needed.

What you’ll work on:

● MCP tool interfaces used by agents to manage projects

● Structured state machines and entity hierarchies

● Improving reliability and observability of agent actions

● Backend features supporting agent autonomy and human oversight

*Aionima*
— Multi-Agent AI Operating System

*What it is:*

An open source agent platform that coordinates multiple specialized AI agents with shared memory,

alignment rules, and lifecycle management. (Think orchestration, not just prompting.)

What you’ll work on:

  • Agent dispatch and coordination logic
  • Session and context persistence
  • Prompt templates and alignment patterns
  • Git-based accountability and traceability mechanisms
  • Internal tooling that supports multi-agent workflows
  • Improving UX

You do not need to understand all internal terminology on day one. You’ll learn it as

you go.

*MyLevelUp*
— AI-Powered Coaching

*What it is:*

A gamified journaling application where users interact with personalized AI agents that support

accountability, habit-building, and self-reflection.

What you’ll work on:

  • Agent behavior design
  • Prompt engineering for user-facing interactions
  • Improving consistency, tone, and alignment in long-running AI conversations

Agentic Workflows & Developer Tooling

Across all products, you may also:

  • Design workflows where AI agents plan, execute, and coordinate tasks
  • Improve CI/CD pipelines and internal developer tooling
  • Contribute to infrastructure that supports multiple products and agents simultaneously

What This Role Is Not

  • You are not expected to know everything on day one
  • You are not expected to work without guidance
  • You are not expected to already understand our internal frameworks or terminology

We care far more about curiosity, learning speed, and follow-through than prior exposure to any

specific system.

Qualifications

Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Software

Engineering, Data Science, or a related field

(or equivalent self-taught experience with a portfolio)

  • Proficiency in at least one programming language (Python, TypeScript/JavaScript, or
  • similar)
  • Hands-on interest in AI systems—you’ve actually tried building something
  • Comfort with Git and collaborative development workflows
  • Ability to work independently, ask good questions, and learn quickly
  • Strong written communication skills (we collaborate asynchronously)

Preferred (Nice to Have)

  • Familiarity with LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.)
  • Exposure to agentic systems or frameworks (LangChain, CrewAI, AutoGen, etc.)
  • Experience with Node.js/TypeScript backends, APIs, or databases
  • Interest in product development—not just how to build, but why
  • Comfort working in a startup environment where priorities evolve

What You’ll Gain

  • Real production experience. You’ll ship code used by real users and real AI agents.
  • Exposure to advanced AI architecture. Multi-agent orchestration, tool-using agents,

persistent memory, and autonomous workflows.

  • Direct founder mentorship. You’ll work closely with leadership with nearly 30 years of combined startup and technical experience.
  • Mission-driven work. Everything we build serves a broader goal: using technology to amplify human potential.
  • A standout portfolio. This is not a CRUD-only internship. You’ll leave with experience that few interns have.

Internship Details

  • Duration: 10 weeks
  • Compensation: $25 per hour
  • Schedule: Flexible; part-time 27 hours per week max
  • Location: Hybrid — remote-friendly with optional in-person collaboration in Milwaukee, WI
