Data Analyst

Our client in the insurance space is seeking a contract based
Business Systems Analyst
to support ongoing data extract operations, enhancements, and issue resolution, working closely with developers, database analysts, and stakeholders in a Kanban delivery model.

Location: Remote, with potential to move to hybrid in month 3

Duration: 6 months

Responsibilities

- Gather and document requirements for
new data extracts and enhancements to existing extracts
- Analyze and troubleshoot
data extract issues
including validation errors, execution failures, timing, and delivery
- Collaborate with developers and DBAs to
optimize query performance and extract efficiency
- Support ongoing
application and data extract operations
within defined SLAs and timelines
- Ensure proper
logging, monitoring, and notification mechanisms
are implemented and maintained
- Participate in
Agile/Kanban ceremonies
and contribute to backlog refinement and prioritization
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure
accurate and timely data delivery

Requirements

- 5+ years of experience as a
Business Analyst/Data Analyst
in data-focused environments
- Strong hands-on experience with
SQL, databases, and data modeling
- Experience working with
ETL tools and data extract processes
- Proven experience in
application support and production issue troubleshooting
- Solid understanding of
Agile methodologies
, particularly
Kanban
- Experience working with
SLAs, deadlines, and operational support environments
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

Nice-to-Have:

- Experience with
SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services)
- Familiarity with
MoveIT
or similar managed file transfer tools
- Experience working in similar environments or alongside comparable profiles (e.g., senior data BAs)
