Founding Growth Marketer

Location: San Francisco, California

This role is posted on behalf of the following client: An early-stage, YC-backed B2B SaaS company building a category-defining platform for Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) and Answer Engine Optimization (AEO), helping brands improve visibility across AI search and answer engines (e.g., ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Claude). The team is led by alumni from leading AI/search organizations and is already working with well-known, high-growth fintech and developer-focused brands, with strong early revenue traction.

Role Overview

The Founding Growth Marketer will build the growth engine designed to scale the business to $10M+ ARR. This role owns the full growth function end-to-end—crafting messaging and creative that reaches the market, architecting the systems and channels that distribute it, and converting it into pipeline—while partnering directly with the CEO and founding team. The work emphasizes experimentation, repeatable systems, and an AI-native approach to operating.

What You'll Do

  • Design and execute growth experiments across channels to increase lead generation; test hypotheses, measure results, report learnings, and build compounding growth loops.
  • Architect end-to-end, repeatable growth systems—owning tooling, automations, analytics, and the marketing-to-sales-to-customer-success handoff to reduce friction through the funnel.
  • Operate with high agency and an AI-native workflow: take ownership of outcomes (not tasks), use modern AI tools daily to move faster, and act as a power user of the product to provide frequent product feedback.

Who You Are

  • Strong critical thinker with a systems-oriented mindset; able to form original hypotheses about markets and channels and focus on loops, leverage, and compounding outcomes.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and fast iteration; demonstrates a bias toward action and can ship, measure, learn, and iterate quickly without needing a prescriptive playbook.
  • Clear communicator and AI-native builder; has completed an end-to-end project using tools such as Claude Code (or similar) and can explain decisions, progress, and results with clarity.
