Job Description
The Data Analyst is responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing data visualizations and analytical tools to support operational performance and business decision-making. This role focuses on transforming complex datasets into actionable insights through dashboards, reporting, and trend analysis. The position requires a high level of technical expertise, independence, and the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.
Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and optimize dashboards and reports using data visualization tools
• Import, cleanse, validate, and transform datasets from multiple sources to ensure data accuracy and consistency
• Analyze trends, correlations, and performance drivers to support operational and strategic decision-making
• Present data through charts, graphs, and tables to communicate insights clearly
• Collaborate with operations, engineering, and continuous improvement teams to understand business needs
• Translate business questions into data-driven analytical solutions
• Ensure data integrity and maintain best practices for data governance and reporting
• Support continuous improvement initiatives through data analysis and performance tracking

Skills

• Advanced proficiency in data visualization tools such as Power BI and/or Spotfire
• Strong SQL skills for data querying, transformation, and validation
• Ability to analyze large and complex datasets and deliver actionable insights
• Strong problem-solving skills with high attention to detail and data accuracy
• Effective communication skills, with the ability to present findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Experience with Python and data platforms such as Databricks is a plus
• Familiarity with upstream oil and gas datasets (drilling & completions) is a plus

Qualifications

• Typically requires advanced-level experience in data analysis or a related field
• Demonstrated expertise in data visualization, reporting, and analytics
• Professional certifications in data analytics or related disciplines are a plus
• Proven ability to manage multiple datasets and deliver high-quality analytical outputs
• Candidates should be prepared to demonstrate technical proficiency during the interview process

Job Details
Pay: $70/per hr
Schedule: M-F
