Role summary

This role is responsible for driving the design, development, release, and validation of vehicle electronics modules. The Technical Program Manager will manage program deliverables, drive development timelines with engineering teams, and act as a key contact with global suppliers. Key responsibilities include creating engineering schedules, tracking progress, identifying and mitigating risks, coordinating with cross-functional teams (vehicle line, software, electrical, mechanical), ensuring timely component delivery for prototypes, supporting documentation releases, and managing project budgets and forecasts. The position requires a BS in Engineering, 4+ years of technical program leadership experience, and detailed knowledge of electrical hardware processes.

This role is responsible for driving the Design, Development, Release, and Validation for a range of electronics modules that are used on our various vehicle platforms. You will maintain and ensure awareness of overall program deliverables, drive development timelines with the engineering teams, and serve as a key point of contact with the supplier during the development phases.

The Technical Program Manager role requires high levels of initiative, independent judgement, and leadership capability. This position requires working with electronics suppliers around the world, in addition to partnering with our internal development teams to deliver current and next generation technologies into production.

  • Work closely with the electronics architecture & design teams to create engineering schedules, closely track program progress, and deliveries against overall vehicle deliverable schedules.
  • Lead and drive the development and integration of electronics via design reviews, ensuring all pre-production builds are supported to effectively launch the vehicle.
  • Identify programmatic risks and work to mitigate and reduce exposure, championing and raising issues and removing roadblocks to hit timing.
  • Work with the vehicle line, software, electrical, mechanical, and other teams to identify and drive critical path and ensure synchronized deliveries.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and supply chain to ensure timely delivery of components and assemblies for prototype builds.
  • Coordinate with Vehicle integration and Electrical Systems to ensure delivery and successful integration of electronic assemblies.
  • Push and support the release of all engineering documentation to support PLM.
  • Support purchasing efforts as needed to ensure timely deliveries.
  • Be able to plan budget for the project and maintain forecast, maintaining risk registers
  • 4+ years of experience leading technical programs or equivalent
  • BS+ in Engineering or similar technical degree required
  • Detailed knowledge of electrical hardware design, development, validation, and integration process
  • Demonstrated experience working with cross functional teams to address and solve complex issues
  • Proven experience tracking and driving the progress of multiple projects
  • Strong team player; drive to exceed expectations and meet deadlines
  • Ability to manage ambiguity and create clarity
  • Excellent written and verbal skills, able to concisely communicate with assembly line or executives
  • High level analytical ability where problems are unusual and complex
  • Travel as needed to support builds
