Part-Time Data Analyst (Onsite) – Nonprofit Environment
Role summary
RJG Consulting Group is seeking a Part-Time Data Analyst to support a nonprofit client onsite. This role focuses on building, organizing, and maintaining reporting and data insights across the organization, helping leadership make informed decisions by improving visibility into operations, donor activity, and financial data. The position also includes light Level 1 IT support responsibilities, such as providing helpdesk assistance via ConnectWise PSA and troubleshooting common user issues. The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of experience in data analysis and reporting, strong Excel and Power BI skills, and the ability to work independently with non-technical stakeholders.

You will work directly with stakeholders to improve visibility into operations, donor activity, and financial data—helping leadership make more informed decisions.
Note:
This role also includes light
Level 1 IT support responsibilities
to assist with day-to-day user needs.
Key Responsibilities
Data & Reporting (Primary Focus):
- Identify and organize key datasets across platforms (e.g., donor systems, financial tools, internal tracking)
- Build and maintain dashboards and reports (Power BI, Excel)
- Translate business needs into actionable reporting and insights
- Help define data workflows and improve data structure across systems
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and usability
- Contribute to a long-term data and reporting roadmap
IT Support (Secondary):
- Provide basic onsite Level 1 helpdesk support via ConnectWise PSA
- Troubleshoot common user issues (Microsoft 365, devices, printers, etc.)
- Assist with simple system tasks such as phone system adjustments/testing
- Escalate complex issues to RJG engineering team
Qualifications
- 1–3 years experience in data analysis, reporting, or similar role
- Strong Excel skills and experience with Power BI (or similar tools)
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365
- Ability to gather requirements and work directly with non-technical stakeholders
- Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail
- Comfortable working independently in an onsite environment
Preferred Certifications
- Microsoft Power BI Certification (PL-300)
- Microsoft 365 / Azure Fundamentals (MS-900, AZ-900)
Preferred Experience
- Experience with nonprofit or donor platforms (e.g., Blackbaud, Bloomerang)
- Exposure to ticketing systems such as ConnectWise
- Interest in growing into data engineering or business intelligence roles
