Role summary

Rocket Money is seeking a Social Producer to join their Creative team. This role focuses on producing social-first video content for platforms like TikTok, Meta, and YouTube, with an emphasis on direct response and performance. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in video production, a deep understanding of social media platforms, strong storytelling instincts, and proficiency in Premiere Pro. This mid-level, full-time position is responsible for the end-to-end production of engaging content designed to reach new audiences and drive conversions within the competitive fintech space.

ABOUT THE ROLE 🎬 Rocket Money is looking for a Social Producer to join our Creative team. This isn't a traditional producer role - we're looking for someone who lives and breathes social media, brings a constant stream of fresh ideas, and knows how to make content that stops people mid-scroll and drives real performance. You'll be embedded in our video team, producing social-first content across platforms while helping us reach new audiences and push the boundaries of what works in a competitive fintech space.

This is a full-time mid-level position within the Marketing department's Creative team.

IN THIS ROLE, YOU'LL: 🎯

  • Own social content production end-to-end - from concept through delivery, producing direct response video content built specifically for TikTok, Meta, YouTube, and other emerging platforms
  • Bring a relentless stream of fresh ideas - you're always watching what's trending, what's converting, and what nobody has tried yet
  • Produce platform-native content that feels native to each channel - not repurposed ads, but content built from the ground up for how people actually consume social
  • Collaborate with the creative team on ideation, storyboarding, and concept development - you have a strong point of view and you share it
  • Iterate fast based on performance data - you believe data informs creativity, not limits it, and you're always looking at what's working and optimizing
  • Shoot, direct, and produce - you're comfortable on set and behind the camera, and can take a concept from brief to final asset
  • Identify new content formats and trends before they peak and bring them to the team with a concrete point of view on how to use them
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously with strong turnaround times and a sharp eye for detail
  • Help expand Rocket Money's reach to new audiences and demographics through smart, culturally relevant content

    • ABOUT YOU 🦄

  • You are an avid, active user of social media - TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, and whatever's next. You don't just consume it and use it, you study it
  • You have a genuine instinct for what makes content perform and can articulate why something will or won't work
  • 3-5 years of experience producing video content, with a strong portfolio of social-first work
  • Deep understanding of platform differences - what works on TikTok is not what works on YouTube and you know exactly why
  • Comfortable on a production set and across all stages of production from pre to post
  • Proficient in Premiere Pro and comfortable with mobile-first editing tools
  • Strong storytelling instincts with the ability to craft content that entertains, educates, and converts
  • A self-starter who moves fast, takes initiative, and is always looking for the next angle
  • Collaborative and communicative - you share ideas generously and give and receive feedback well

  • Familiarity with direct response principles and how creative decisions impact conversion
  • After Effects experience
  • Experience growing or managing a brand's organic social presence

    • Salary range: $75,000 – $100,000/year + bonus + benefits. Base pay may vary depending on knowledge, skill, and experience.
