SDET in Python and Mobile Testing - Texas and NJ - Hybrid

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) specializing in Python Robot Framework and Mobile Testing to join our dynamic team. Duties

• Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts for mobile applications on Android and iOS using Python, Selenium, TestNG, JUnit, Cucumber, and other testing frameworks.
• Design comprehensive test plans and test cases aligned with business requirements, ensuring thorough coverage of functional, system, performance, load, and user acceptance testing.
• Perform API testing for RESTful web services utilizing tools like Postman or custom scripts with REST APIs to validate data exchange and integration points.
• Conduct root cause analysis on defects identified during testing phases; collaborate with development teams to troubleshoot issues related to mobile applications, APIs, or backend systems.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab, Azure DevOps (TFS), or similar tools to enable continuous testing and rapid release cycles.
• Execute performance testing using LoadRunner or similar tools to assess system scalability and responsiveness under various load conditions.
• Participate in requirements gathering sessions and contribute to SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) activities including system testing, regression testing, release management, and user acceptance testing.
• Maintain version control of test scripts using SVN or GitHub/GitLab repositories; ensure proper documentation of test cases and results for audit purposes.
• Collaborate with QA/QC teams to uphold quality standards across all phases of software development; support troubleshooting efforts across different operating systems including Windows, Linux, and cloud environments like AWS.

Skills

• Strong proficiency in Python Robot Framework scripting for automation along with experience in JavaScript for web-based testing scenarios.
• Hands-on experience with mobile testing frameworks such as Selenium WebDriver for Android and iOS platforms; familiarity with Appium is a plus.
• Strong hands on experience in Python Robot Framework.
• Deep understanding of Mobile Testing and JMeter Performance.
• Deep understanding of API testing methodologies involving RESTful APIs using tools like Postman or custom scripts; knowledge of SOAP web services is advantageous.
• Expertise in test automation frameworks such as TestNG, JUnit, Cucumber (BDD), along with scripting skills for creating reliable automated test suites.
• Knowledge of version control systems including GitHub, GitLab, SVN; experience integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or Azure DevOps.
• Familiarity with database management systems like MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, DB2 or MongoDB; ability to perform data analysis skills using SQL/PLSQL queries.
• Experience with performance/load testing tools such as LoadRunner or similar solutions; understanding of system performance metrics is essential.
• Strong troubleshooting skills including debugging complex issues across mobile apps, APIs, backend services or network configurations.
• Knowledge of SDLC methodologies such as Agile (Scrum/Kanban) and Waterfall; ability to adapt testing strategies accordingly.
• Excellent analytical skills combined with a keen eye for detail; capable of analyzing requirements thoroughly to develop comprehensive test cases.

Pay: $58.00 - $62.00 per hour
