Role summary
The Electronics Technician Maintenance III performs advanced depot-level troubleshooting, testing, alignment, modification, overhaul, and component-level repair of complex analog and digital electronic systems. This role involves analyzing failures using various tools and documentation, repairing electronic components, maintaining test equipment, and supporting calibration. The technician collaborates with engineers on process improvements and modifications, and may provide technical guidance to junior technicians. A high school diploma is required, with formal electronics training strongly preferred. A minimum of seven years of experience with electronics test equipment is preferred, along with skills in component-level repair, schematic interpretation, and maintenance procedures. The role requires the ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance and may require a driver's license.
The Electronics Technician Maintenance III performs advanced depot-level troubleshooting, testing, alignment, modification, overhaul, and component-level repair of complex analog and digital electronic systems, assemblies, subassemblies, circuit cards, power supplies, and associated test equipment.
The position independently analyzes complex or unusual failures using Government-furnished software, schematics, drawings, procedures, specifications, automated test stations, manual test stations, and bench-top diagnostic equipment. Responsibilities include repairing and rebuilding electronic components, programming or maintaining automated test equipment, performing preventive and corrective maintenance, and supporting equipment calibration control.
As a senior technical contributor, the Electronics Technician Maintenance III collaborates with engineers and other qualified personnel on troubleshooting, repair-process improvement, equipment modification, prototyping, and production support. The position may provide technical guidance to less-experienced technicians but does not have formal supervisory authority unless separately designated.

- Testing, aligning and troubleshooting Complex Electronics Testing and Troubleshooting
- Performing depot repairs and rebuild activities on Electronic Components
- Maintaining and inspecting Test-Sets (Preventive and Corrective Maintenance)

- Ensuring Quality, Safety, and Team Coordination
