Sagility seeks an experienced Data Engineer to join their team, focusing on onboarding new customer data and building scalable ingestion pipelines for a healthcare client. This role involves designing and modernizing cloud-based data workflows using AWS, Snowflake, and Terraform to clean, transform, and prepare data. Responsibilities include migrating from SQL Server to AWS, optimizing Snowflake performance and cost, and collaborating directly with clients to gather requirements and deliver solutions. The ideal candidate will have 5-7 years of data engineering experience, 5+ years in AWS, 3+ years in Snowflake, and strong Terraform skills, with excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.

We are looking for an experienced Data Engineer to partner closely with our client in onboarding new customer data and building scalable ingestion pipelines. This role focuses on designing and modernizing cloud‑based data workflows that clean, transform, and prepare data for downstream standardization and business logic execution. The ideal candidate will be highly skilled in AWS, Snowflake, and infrastructure automation, with the ability to translate business requirements into reliable, production‑ready data solutions. Strong communication and client‑facing skills are essential, as this role involves gathering requirements, providing technical guidance, and delivering high‑quality data engineering outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and cloud‑based data solutions
- Provision, configure, and administer AWS infrastructure across multiple services
- Automate infrastructure deployment using
Terraform
- Migrate existing ingestion pipelines from
SQL Server to AWS (S3 and related services)
- Convert, optimize, and validate SQL Server queries and workloads in
Snowflake
- Monitor and optimize
Snowflake performance and cost efficiency
- Develop and maintain Snowflake data models, pipelines, and performance‑tuned queries
- Collaborate directly with clients to gather requirements, provide updates, and deliver solutions
- Work within Agile environments using tools such as
Jira
and
Bitbucket
- Troubleshoot complex data, pipeline, and infrastructure issues with strong analytical reasoning

Required Qualifications

- 5–7 years
of professional experience in data engineering
- 5+ years of hands‑on AWS experience
, including infrastructure provisioning and administration
- Strong proficiency with
Terraform
for infrastructure‑as‑code automation
- 3+ years of Snowflake experience
, including query optimization and cost management
- Experience migrating pipelines and queries from
SQL Server
to cloud‑based platforms
- Familiarity with Agile tools such as Jira and Bitbucket
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact directly with clients
- Strong problem‑solving skills and critical‑thinking capabilities
