Role summary

SAIC is seeking a Lead Software Test Engineer for the Horizon Program in El Segundo, CA, supporting the US Space Force. This full-time, onsite role involves documenting software test strategies, plans, scenarios, and requirements. The engineer will collaborate with development contractors and government agencies to ensure test objectives align with standards and policies, and develop appropriate test methodologies. Description

SAIC is seeking you, our latest Lead Software Test Engineer on the Horizon Program to support the United States Space Force's Program Executive Office for Space Domain Aware and Combat Power portfolio in El Segundo, CA. If you like test planning, software test requirements or just about anything software test in the Space and Ground systems work then this could be the right job for you.

Fun stuff you will do on the job:

Document program software test strategy and plans, software test scenarios and software test requirements in development contractor contractual documents and Government program office documentation.
Work with development contractors to ensure developmental software test objectives are consistent with applicable standards, instruction, and policy.
Work with Government developmental and operational software test agencies/organizations to develop the adequate software test methodology consistent with the program manager’s expectations and other external stakeholders, as appropriate.
Lead and/or participate in software test working groups which plan, status, and discuss software test related matters.

Qualifications

This is you:

Bachelors Degree in a technical degree pursuit and 14 years of relevant experience:
In technical programs, systems engineering and software test policy/execution of large scale space-based and ground-based space systems and/or new start technical demonstration space and ground systems.
Agile software development experience.
With test planning and documentation development.
With software test requirements development.
With software test engineering process and tool development.
With Department of Defense Test & Evaluation.
In-scope security background investigation (T5 or SSBI), adjudicated for SCI eligibility and enrolled in the Continuous Evaluation program (if applicable).
Willing to be nominated for access to Sensitive Compartment Information and Special Access Programs and willing to consent to a Polygraph examination.

ITEA Certified Test & Evaluation Professional and, or INCOSE Certified Systems Engineer Professional credentials.

Target salary range: $160,001 - $200,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
