Role summary

A VC-backed AI/Data startup in Toronto is seeking its first Head of Product to lead product strategy and execution. This role requires 8+ years of product leadership experience, specifically scaling complex B2B SaaS products. The ideal candidate will have exposure to AI-native, workflow-heavy, or data-intensive products and a strong understanding of product-market fit. Responsibilities include defining product vision, roadmap, and fostering cross-functional collaboration to build elegant, intuitive software products. Head of Product | Toronto | VC-Backed AI/Data Startup

We’re supporting a high-growth, VC-backed technology business in the appointment of their first Head of Product.

This is a rare opportunity to join an exceptionally well-funded startup at a genuinely formative stage, working directly alongside an experienced founding team who have previously built, scaled and exited successful technology businesses.

They’re looking for an exceptional product leader who can combine strategic thinking with hands-on execution - someone capable of turning complex datasets and workflows into elegant, intuitive software products.

You’ll own:

✔ Product strategy & roadmap

✔ Product vision and operating cadence

✔ Cross-functional collaboration across engineering, design & commercial teams

✔ Product-market fit evolution

✔ The foundations of a future product organisation

Ideal background:

▪️ 8+ years within product leadership

▪️ Experience scaling complex B2B SaaS products

▪️ Strong product intuition and customer empathy

▪️ Exposure to AI-native, workflow-heavy or data-intensive products

▪️ Startup or high-growth venture experience

Toronto (on-site)

CA$250k–$300k + meaningful equity
