The position requires an active TS/SCI clearance and 10+ years of experience in cybersecurity or IT with a Bachelor's degree, or 14+ years of relevant experience.

Position Overview

SASSI is seeking a highly experienced Cyber Data Analyst to support the Department of War (DoW) Chief Information Officer (CIO) User Activity Monitoring (UAM) Program. This role supports senior cybersecurity leadership initiatives through advanced cyber data analytics, strategic reporting, and enterprise-level coordination efforts focused on cyber reform, Zero Trust implementation, and user activity monitoring capabilities.

The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with strong analytical and communication skills who can transform complex cybersecurity and operational data into actionable insights for executive leadership and enterprise decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the DoW CIO User Activity Monitoring (UAM) Program through cyber data analysis and strategic reporting initiatives
  • Analyze cyber data, metrics, and operational trends to provide actionable recommendations and enterprise-level insights
  • Develop executive-level reports, dashboards, presentations, and strategy documents related to cybersecurity operations and reform initiatives
  • Support advancement and integration efforts involving Advana or similar enterprise reporting and measurement systems
  • Apply analytical methodologies to raw cybersecurity and operational data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities
  • Coordinate across stakeholders and organizations to represent senior leader intent and priorities
  • Support cybersecurity reform initiatives through measurement of goals, priorities, and effectiveness metrics
  • Provide expertise in Zero Trust, cloud security, cyber strategy, and user activity monitoring principles
  • Assist with implementation and oversight of automated software inventory tools, records management tools, and data analytic models
  • Communicate findings effectively to executives, senior leaders, and cross-functional technical teams
  • Support task management activities using CATMS or similar enterprise task management systems

Required Qualifications

  • Active TS/SCI security clearance is required and must be maintained throughout employment
  • Experience supporting the Department of War (DoW) and its Components
  • 10+ years of experience in cybersecurity or Information Technology matters with a Bachelor’s degree
  • OR
  • 14+ years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree
  • Experience with cyber data analytics, metrics analysis, and reporting
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, best practices, and threat/user activity monitoring concepts
  • Ability to think critically and apply analytical methodologies to complex datasets
  • Ability to translate technical cybersecurity information into enterprise-level reporting and strategy documentation
  • Excellent verbal, written, and visual communication skills with experience briefing executives and senior leadership
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct research, coordination, and strategic analysis in support of senior leader objectivesPreferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting a senior-level DoW office or Joint Command
  • Experience overseeing cybersecurity-focused projects or operational work efforts
  • Knowledge of Zero Trust architecture principles and implementation strategies
  • Experience with CATMS or similar enterprise task management systems
  • Familiarity with Advana or comparable enterprise data analytics/reporting platforms
  • Experience with cloud security strategies and enterprise cyber modernization efforts
