Senior Software Engineer (Python, Rust, Go)
Role summary
Satoriq is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for a stealth-mode cybersecurity company building advanced encryption products. This hybrid role in New York City focuses on leading product development for on-prem and cloud systems, with a strong emphasis on systems-level development using Python, Go, and Rust. The engineer will drive 0-to-1 product builds, from concept to production, and contribute to architecture decisions. A Bachelor's degree in CS/Engineering, 7+ years of experience, and hands-on Rust experience are required. Experience with Go, Python, ground-up builds, POC systems, and secure coding practices are essential. Mentoring junior engineers is also a key responsibility.

Senior Software Engineer
to help lead product development across on-prem and cloud-based systems — with a strong emphasis on
systems-level development using Python, Go, and Rust.

What You’ll Do
- Lead the development of core backend infrastructure and high-performance services
- Drive 0-to-1 product builds
— taking concepts from idea through proof-of-concept (POC) to production-ready systems
- Build and test complex new features from end to end, including integration with front-end systems
- Mentor and support junior and mid-level engineers
- Collaborate closely with product, security, and infrastructure teams
- Shape architecture decisions and own technical delivery for major initiatives
What They’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field

- 7+ years of software engineering experience
- Hands-on Rust experience is a must (personal or professional use)
- Strong backend experience with Go and Python
- Proven
ground-up build experience
— from greenfield architecture to deployed product
- Experience creating
proof-of-concept (POC)
systems and iterating rapidly based on feedback
- Experience with React and TypeScript for front-end development is a plus but role is backend
- Strong understanding of cryptography fundamentals and secure coding practices
- Comfortable working in Linux-based environments and on performance-critical systems
- Bonus: Experience with infrastructure automation, CI/CD, or DevOps tooling
