Job Overview

At Sea & Shoreline, our work happens where others don’t go—on the water, in the field, and in environments that require focus, effort, and teamwork. We restore ecosystems and support projects that have a direct impact on the communities around us. This role is for people who are scrappy, gritty, and take pride in doing the work the right way. You’ll be part of a crew where everyone is expected to show up ready, stay engaged, and contribute from start to finish.

The work is physical. The pace can be demanding. And the expectations are clear. But for the right person, it’s also meaningful, hands-on work where you can see the impact of what you do. If you take pride in showing up ready, staying engaged, and being part of a team that holds a high standard—this role will fit.

What You Do

Field Work & Project Execution

  • Support restoration and construction projects in marine and coastal environments
  • Perform hands-on work, including:
  • Material handling
  • Site prep and cleanup
  • Installation and restoration activities
  • Work in and around water, boats, equipment, and active job sites

Show Up Ready

  • Arrive on time, prepared, and ready to work—every day
  • Bring the right gear, mindset, and awareness to the job
  • Stay engaged from start to finish

Support the Crew

  • Work as part of a team where everyone pulls their weight
  • Step in to help without waiting to be told
  • Communicate clearly with crew leads and teammates

Follow Through

  • Complete tasks fully—not halfway
  • Pay attention to detail, even in physical work
  • Ask questions when something is unclear instead of guessing

Safety & Responsibility

  • Follow safety protocols and look out for your team
  • Use tools and equipment properly
  • Speak up if something doesn’t feel right

Learn the Work

  • Build skills over time—this is not a static role
  • Learn how projects come together, not just your piece of it
  • Take feedback seriously and apply it

Who You Are

  • You are comfortable working outdoors in physical environments—heat, water, mud, equipment, and changing conditions are part of the job, not the exception
  • You can safely handle tools, equipment, and machinery (including operating or learning to operate equipment like boats, trailers, skidsteers, machinery or similar)
  • You maintain awareness at all times—you keep your head on a swivel, understand your surroundings, and look out for your crew
  • You take safety seriously—for yourself, your team, and the environment you’re working in
  • You are willing and able to work in and around water, including supporting or performing dive-related work if certified (or open to becoming certified)
  • You understand that the job site is not just a work site—it’s part of a larger ecosystem and community, and you treat it with care and respect
  • You help maintain clean, organized, and functional job sites—you leave spaces better than you found them
  • You follow direction, but also know when to speak up, ask questions, or step in when something doesn’t look right
  • You bring energy and effort throughout the day—this is not start-strong, fade-late work

Bonus Points

  • Experience in construction, marine work, or outdoor labor
  • Boating or water experience
  • Interest in environmental restoration or conservation
  • Willingness to pursue certifications (e.g., safety, diving, equipment operation)
