Inside Sales and Customer Service Representative
Role summary
Seattle Metals Inc. is seeking a full-time Inside Sales and Customer Service Representative to manage the front desk operations. This role involves professionally interacting with customers via walk-ins, phone, and email, accurately entering sales orders into the system, and coordinating with production schedules. The representative will also be responsible for operating a forklift and truck, managing projects, and escalating critical issues as needed. Proficiency in English, basic math, and Microsoft Outlook are required. Preferred skills include sheet-metal fabrication, siding/roofing experience, Microsoft Word/Excel, and fluency in Spanish or Russian. A driver's license is mandatory.

Wage: $20-$30 per hour depending on experience
Official Working Hours: 6:30am-3:30pm Monday thru Friday

Job Description
The *Customer Service Rep* is the front end of the production process. This position sits at the front desk and receives all sales orders via walk-ins, phone calls and email.
Key Responsibilities
- Professionally interact face-to-face with customers as well as telephone and email
- Accurately entering all sales orders into the system
- Determining completion date via production schedule with shop lead
- Entering customer orders and confirming them prior to production
- Cross communicate with sales manager, plant manager and production manager to ensure seamless deliverables
- Operation of forklift and truck using proper procedures as outlined
- Must be able to complete and prioritize activities and track projects in a timely manner
- Can work independently while knowing how/when to handle or escalate critical issues
Required Skills:
- Proficient in communicating with customer
- English fluent
- Basic math and geometry
- Proficiency with Microsoft email (Outlook)
