Contract-To-Hire
Initial 6-month contract with a view to transitioning to a permanent role
Initial contract rates ($55 p/h W2 or $80 p/h C2C MAXIMUM)
Annual Salary, if offered a permanent role after a successful contract period ($105k-$130k)

Our client is an insurance organisation based on the East Coast of the US, and so, any experience of working within a data role for an insurance organisation would be highly desirable, especially if you have any knowledge around Property & Casualty insurance, although this is not essential.
Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Development
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of data engineers (USA & India) responsible for ETL development and support.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performance team environment.
- Manage resource allocation, workload balancing, and professional development for team members.
Project Management Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and execute ETL and data warehouse projects from initiation through delivery, ensuring alignment with business objectives and timelines.
- Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, resource assignments, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Facilitate effective communication between technical teams, business stakeholders, and leadership to ensure project goals, status, and deliverables are clearly understood.
- Track project progress, identify roadblocks, and proactively resolve issues to ensure successful and timely project completion.
- Manage project scope, changes, and priorities in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Prepare and deliver regular project status reports, highlighting key milestones, risks, and achievements.
- Ensure adherence to project management methodologies, standards, and best practices.
- Keep track of all tasks and deadlines, ensuring everything continues to move forward smoothly.
Production Support
- Ensure the reliability, performance, and availability of ETL jobs in production environments.
- Manage incident response, root cause analysis, and resolution of ETL failures or data quality issues.
- Maintain and improve monitoring, alerting, and documentation for ETL processes.
KPI Implementation & Monitoring
- Identify key daily and monthly ETL process KPIs (e.g., job success rates, data latency, error rates, throughput, SLA adherence).
- Implement automated tracking and reporting mechanisms for ETL KPIs.
- Provide regular KPI dashboards and insights to stakeholders for improved transparency and operational decision-making.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives based on KPI trends and analysis.
Process Improvement & Best Practices
- Establish and enforce ETL development standards, code reviews, and best practices.
- Evaluate and recommend ETL tools, frameworks, and technologies to enhance team productivity and system performance.
- Lead efforts to automate manual processes and improve operational efficiency.
- Ensure alignment of ETL processes with EDW architecture, requirements and data quality standards.

Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
- 7+ years of experience in ETL development, data engineering, or data warehousing.
- 5+ years of experience in a leadership or managerial role.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with cloud data platforms (e.g., Azure).
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD for data pipelines.
- Knowledge of data governance, data quality, and compliance requirements.
