As a Product Designer specializing in UX Research and Product Design for a YC-backed security startup, you will play a pivotal role in crafting our investigator-facing platform into an intuitive tool that transforms complex investigative data into streamlined workflows.

Your primary responsibilities will involve owning the end-to-end UX design for investigator-focused product features, a process that begins with conducting thorough user research with detectives, investigators, and analysts to deeply understand their workflows.

In this role, close collaboration with engineers and founders is essential to define product requirements and iterate swiftly based on feedback.

You will be expected to produce precise product specs and PRDs to address user challenges and propose solutions effectively. Prototyping and testing new ideas with both internal teams and external users will be a regular part of your day.

The role demands continuous focus on improving usability and efficiency for investigation-critical tasks and shaping the long-term design system and UX philosophy of our platform.

Success in this role requires at least three years of experience in product design, specifically with complex workflows or data-oriented software, and a knack for translating user insights into actionable enhancements.

It’s crucial to be adept at working in fast-paced startup environments alongside engineers, combining strong product thinking with the ability to write clear specifications.

You must be a U.S. Citizen with proven experience in or with top-tier technology companies. As one of our early design hires, this position offers the unique opportunity to significantly shape our UX philosophy and grow into potential leadership roles.
