Setton Farms is a family-owned California pistachio grower and producer, in business since 1986. This role supports the internal and customer-facing applications that keep our business growing.

Job Summary

We’re looking for a Frontend Engineer who takes pride in building reliable, easy-to-use business applications.

You’ll focus on delivering clean, intuitive user interfaces that support real workflows across the company. This role is about making systems usable, efficient, and dependable.

Objectives

• Deliver frontend features that are consistently usable and adopted by business users, with minimal rework or clarification needed
• Translate requirements into UI implementations that reduce friction and improve workflow efficiency
• Maintain a frontend that is reliable in production, with minimal user-facing defects and quick resolution when issues arise
• Ensure application performance meets expectations (fast load times, responsive interactions, stable behavior under normal usage)
• Partner with backend development to ensure end-to-end workflows function correctly and efficiently without gaps or rework

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain frontend features using React + TypeScript
• Develop reusable components and consistent UI patterns
• Integrate with backend APIs (.NET / MSSQL) to support business workflows
• Improve application performance and responsiveness
• Identify usability issues and propose practical improvements
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues when they arise
• Write clean, maintainable code with appropriate test coverage
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to team standards
• Communicate clearly with team members and stakeholders

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience building frontend applications with React
• Strong experience with TypeScript and API integration
• Solid understanding of building usable, maintainable interfaces
• Experience working in a team environment with shared codebases
• Manage workload proactively and flag risks early
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills

Bonus

• Experience with .NET / MSSQL / Python
• Full-stack experience (comfortable working beyond the UI when needed)
• Experience with internal or operational business applications
• Familiarity with CI/CD and deployment processes
