Role summary

SHERLOQ Solutions is seeking a Senior Systems Infrastructure Engineer to support their FACS platform, SQL systems, and IT infrastructure. This role focuses on improving performance, reliability, and efficiency across application, infrastructure, and cloud environments. Responsibilities include programming file processes, maintaining systems, troubleshooting issues, developing and deploying code, managing VMware and Windows Server environments, administering Azure resources, monitoring infrastructure health, and ensuring security and compliance. The position requires 5+ years of IT experience, including 2+ years with Ontario Systems FACS, SQL Server, and hybrid cloud environments.

Position Summary

This role is primarily responsible for supporting our FACS platform, SQL systems, and overall IT infrastructure, while helping improve performance, reliability, and efficiency across the organization. This role requires someone who can work across application, infrastructure, and cloud environments and handle sensitive data with professionalism.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Program inbound and outbound file processes based on client specifications.
  • Maintain and improve existing programs and interfaces.
  • Troubleshoot system, interface, and data processing issues.
  • Work with leadership to define system requirements and improvements.
  • Develop, test, and deploy code and system changes.
  • Maintain documentation for systems, processes, and integrations.
  • Manage and support VMware virtual environments (ESXi, vCenter).
  • Configure and maintain Windows Server systems and virtual machines.
  • Administer Azure resources including VMs, networking, and storage.
  • Monitor systems, performance, backups, and overall infrastructure health.
  • Troubleshoot networking and VPN connectivity issues.
  • Ensure systems meet security and compliance requirements.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Experience and Education

  • 5+ years in IT, systems engineering, or programming.
  • 2+ years working with Ontario Systems FACS.
  • Microsoft SQL Server experience (queries, troubleshooting).
  • Experience with hybrid cloud environments.
  • Experience with storage systems (SAN/iSCSI, Nimble, etc.).
  • Familiarity with security tools (Microsoft Defender).
  • Experience with reporting tools (SSRS, Crystal Reports, Power BI).
  • Experience with VMware (VM provisioning, hosts, storage, networking.
  • Experience with batch processing tools (WinBatch preferred).
  • PowerShell or scripting experience.
  • Strong knowledge of Entra ID (MFA, Conditional Access, user management).

Pay Range: $100k-110k /yr, depending on experience.

Schedule: Monday- Friday 8am-5pm
