Hardware Engineer
Role summary
Shield Consulting Solutions is seeking a Hardware Engineer with an active TS/SCI w/Polygraph clearance to manage hardware-related tickets, plan and execute hardware projects, perform engineering reviews, and provide break/fix support. The role involves close collaboration with systems engineering, documentation for approvals, and organizing installations across multiple sites. Experience with ServiceNow, JIRA, and NLYTE is required or desired. This is an onsite, full-time position with no telework options.

Basic Requirements:
- 14 years of experience as a Hardware Engineer
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline
- 5 additional years of experience as a Hardware Engineer may be substituted for a degree
Job Description:
- Manage hardware-related ServiceNow (SNOW), NLYTE, and JIRA tickets and provide regular updates to the customer
- Plan all phases of hardware projects, including scheduling, budgeting, and maturing technical performance parameters
- Perform engineering reviews of deployment packages submitted by customers to identify and resolve inconsistencies
- Work closely with the systems engineering team to develop and validate hardware drawing packages
- Complete documentation to obtain approvals for shipping equipment to pre-staging areas and keep stakeholders informed (e.g., MDATs, TOEs)
- Perform immediate changes, maintenance, sustainment, and replacement of failed hardware (Break/Fix support)
- Organize and lead hardware installations across multiple operational sites
- Troubleshoot hardware issues and coordinate with multiple organizations while on TDY assignments as required
