Rate of Pay: The salary range for this position in Plano, TX is $91,374 - $162,000 per year and this role may be eligible to earn incentive compensation. Duties: Responsible for manual and automated design flow testing of a range of EDA Analysis/Simulation tools used within a High Speed design flow. Working with analog, mixed signal, signal integrity and EMC simulators and associated environments. Run regression suites with Test Farm in both Windows and Linux with the latest build for the software tools mentioned. Run the manual regressions for the software flows and check the AMS designs. Design and test the software tools on Windows and Linux. Test and ensure all integration points between the HyperLynx (Analog simulation tools) and surrounding tools are validated and functioning correctly.
Requirements: Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent in Electrical Engineering or related field and 24 months of experience in the job offered or in an Analog Design or High Speed Analysis-Software Quality Assurance Engineer-related occupation. Alternatively, employer will accept a Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Electrical Engineering or related field and no experience. Position also requires experience, internship, or coursework in the following: Hardware Descriptive Language including VLSI used to create integrated circuit designs for PCB designs. Analog design and behavior related to integrated circuit design with analysis verifying functionality, characteristics, and performance. Layout and simulation tools used in analysis and verification of analog integrated circuit designs. Design Rules for analog design layout. Simulation of analog designs. Quality Assurance processes including developing analog integrated circuit designs for specific tests, analyzing the design, and determining the results of the test. Telecommuting and/or working from home is allowed pursuant to company policy.
