Founding Engineer

## The role

You'll be a foundational hire, working across the full stack but anchored on the product, right alongside the founders. There’s no bureaucracy, onboarding ramp, or micro-managing. You’ll own features and surfaces end-to-end, from tasteful UI/UX decisions to the backend plumbing that makes it work.

Every PR will directly impact thousands of users’ daily lives, so the bar is very high! The average white-collar worker spends more time in their inbox than talking to their family.

## What you'll own

Entire product flows and experiences, including the onboarding, mobile app, chat interface, landing pages, core inbox experience, calendar, and more. There’s large scope to fundamentally redefine the next era of HCI.

## What we're looking for

* **Taste.** You can show us five products you love and explain exactly why. Ours include Linear, Raycast, Conductor, and Things.
* **Design-to-code.** You design in Figma or Paper, prototype in code, and ship in Next.js/React, SwiftUI is a plus. You care about polish, motion, accessibility, and performance.
* **Shipped high-quality products:** You’re previously shipped products / websites / apps that someone else would be truly delighted to use.
* **Agency:** You enjoy not being hand-held, micromanaged
