Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior DevOps Engineer with deep expertise in Azure DevOps and cloud-native engineering to help scale and optimize our digital insurance
platform. This role will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, and cloud environments to enable rapid, secure, and
reliable software delivery.
You will work closely with engineering, data, and product teams to accelerate modernization initiatives across core insurance systems.
Key Responsibilities
DevOps & CI/CD
- Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps
- Automate build, test, and deployment processes across multiple environments
- Improve release velocity and reduce deployment risks through automation
Cloud & Infrastructure (Azure)
- Architect and manage scalable infrastructure on Microsoft Azure
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, ARM templates, or Bicep
- Optimize cloud cost, performance, and availability
Automation & Reliability
- Build automated monitoring, alerting, and incident response systems
- Ensure high availability and disaster recovery for critical insurance applications
- Implement blue-green and canary deployment strategies
Security & Compliance
- Integrate DevSecOps practices into pipelines
- Ensure compliance with insurance industry standards (SOC2, HIPAA where
applicable)
- Manage secrets, identity, and access using Azure Key Vault and IAM
Collaboration & Enablement
- Partner with development teams to adopt DevOps best practices
- Mentor junior engineers and promote a culture of automation and ownership
- Work closely with product and architecture teams on modernization initiatives
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or cloud engineering roles
- Strong hands-on experience with Azure DevOps (pipelines, repos, boards,
artifacts)
- Deep expertise in Microsoft Azure (App Services, AKS, Functions, VMs, Networking)
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred)
- Proficiency in scripting (PowerShell, Bash, or Python)
- Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes / AKS)
- Strong understanding of CI/CD, Git workflows, and release management
- Experience with monitoring tools (Azure Monitor, Application Insights, Prometheus,
Grafana)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in insurance or financial services domain
- Exposure to Guidewire, Duck Creek, or core insurance platforms
- Experience with data platforms (Snowflake, Databricks)
- Knowledge of AI/ML pipeline deployment (MLOps)
- Familiarity with API management and microservices architecture
