We are seeking a Senior Full-Stack Engineer, with a backend focus, to join our client in San Francisco. This onsite, full-time role involves building a personal AI assistant for knowledge workers. You will own features from conception through iteration, handle backend and some infrastructure/DevOps tasks, and implement frontend functionality as needed. The position requires understanding AI applications, agentic workflows, and model interaction patterns, with the ability to ramp up quickly on AI-heavy systems. You will work directly with users and translate feedback into improvements in a fast-paced, ambiguity-tolerant environment. This is not a ticket-taking role; you will have full ownership of assigned features.

We are hiring a Senior Full-Stack Engineer (backend-leaning) to join our client in person in SF.
building a personal AI assistant for knowledge workers — something closer to “Cursor for knowledge work” than a chatbot.
You will:
- Own features from conception → architecture → implementation → shipping → iteration
- Handle backend-heavy work with some infrastructure/DevOps responsibility
- Implement basic frontend functionality when needed
- Work directly with users (engineers onboard users themselves)
- Translate user feedback into experiments and shipped improvements
- Operate in an ambiguity-tolerant, fast-moving environment
- This is not a ticket-taking role. Feature requests are assigned to individuals, and you own them fully.
