Role summary
SMX is seeking a Data Analyst to profile data sources, document data lineage, and align data to a common domain model for enterprise data products, APIs, and analytics. This role involves translating data structures and movement into well-governed specifications, ensuring trustworthy and reusable data. Responsibilities include assessing data quality, documenting end-to-end lineage, mapping source data to canonical models, designing API schemas, and developing data rules. The analyst will produce technical documentation and communicate requirements to technical and non-technical audiences, collaborating with various teams to meet downstream data needs.
SMX is hiring a Data Analyst responsible for profiling data sources, documenting data lineage, and aligning data to a common domain model that powers enterprise data products, APIs, and analytics. Working closely with data engineers, architects, and build teams, the Data Analyst translates how data is structured and how it moves — from source systems through transformation to consumption — into clear, well-governed specifications. This role is essential for turning fragmented, inconsistent source data into standardized, trustworthy, and reusable data the enterprise can rely on.
