Staff Product Manager - Marketplace
Role summary
Snorkel AI is seeking an experienced Staff Product Manager to own its expert contributor product ecosystem within a fast-moving marketplace. The role requires defining product strategy, building features, and running experiments to optimize marketplace outcomes like matching efficiency, fulfillment quality, conversion, retention, and unit economics. The ideal candidate has a strong background in building and optimizing multi-sided marketplaces, particularly in the gig economy, with a focus on supply-side management and user experience. This role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams and requires demonstrated ability to lead product teams. A background in computer science or engineering is also required.

The Role
We are seeking an experienced product manager to own our expert contributor product ecosystem. The ideal candidate has led product initiatives within fast-moving, real-world marketplaces where supply and demand must be continuously balanced, operational efficiency is critical, and user experience directly impacts growth. They understand how to build and optimize multi-sided marketplaces that maintain healthy economics, drive sustained engagement and retention, and deliver reliable, high-quality outcomes at scale.
In this role, you will define product strategy, build features, and run experiments that optimize marketplace outcomes, driving matching efficiency, fulfillment quality, conversion, retention, and unit economics. You will partner closely with Operations, Research, Engineering, Analytics, and GTM teams to refine marketplace dynamics across supply, demand, pricing, incentives, and quality.
Minimum Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience as a Product Manager
- Experience building products for the gig economy, focused on supply-side onboarding, lifecycle management, user experience, quality, and other aspects
- Strong SaaS UI/UX design sense and product-building experience
- Experience working closely with enterprise customers and channel partners in the enterprise software industry
- Demonstrated ability to hire, develop, and lead world-class product teams from the ground up
- Educational background in computer science or related engineering practice
Preferred Qualifications
- 8+ years of product management experience, including 4+ years working on marketplace, logistics, supply/demand, or growth systems.
- Experience from a marketplace or platform-based organization
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in metrics-driven decision-making, experimentation, and portfolio tradeoffs.
- Demonstrated ability to partner closely with data science and engineering to deliver scalable, measurable outcomes.
- Deep intuition and rigor around user behavior, incentives, and marketplace mechanics.
Salary Range
$240,000—$300,000 USD
