Senior Software Engineer, Cloud Efficiency
Role summary
SoFi is hiring a Senior Software Engineer for their Cloud Efficiency team. This role focuses on engineering autonomous AI agents and RAG-based workflows to optimize cloud performance and cost-effectiveness within their FinTech environment. Responsibilities include designing and implementing cloud solutions, developing data pipelines for billing and performance metrics, building observability tools, and automating cloud governance. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of software development experience, deep expertise in AWS, strong programming fundamentals (Java, Kotlin, Python, Go), and experience with IaC, Kubernetes, and workflow orchestration tools. Experience with AI coding tools and FinOps is a plus.

As a key contributor to our Efficiency Platform and FinOps strategy, you will move beyond static monitoring by engineering autonomous AI agents and RAG-based workflows to proactively resolve inefficiencies, ensuring our cloud architecture remains both high-performing and fiscally disciplined.
