Senior Web Developer (with DevOps/SRE Experience)

We're seeking a Senior Web Developer to lead web application development across our growing client base. While the primary focus is web development, candidates with DevOps or Kubernetes experience will find opportunities to contribute to our cloud infrastructure—making this an excellent role for developers who want to broaden their skill set.

Web Development (Primary Responsibilities)

• Build and maintain custom web applications using modern frameworks and best practices
• Develop WordPress solutions for managed hosting clients
• Architect scalable, performant web systems from concept to deployment
• Collaborate with clients to translate business needs into technical solutions
• Conduct code reviews and mentor junior developers
• Own projects from requirements gathering through production deployment

Growth Opportunities (for qualified candidates)

• Contribute to our AWS/EKS infrastructure initiatives
• Participate in cloud optimization and monitoring improvements
• Support deployment automation and CI/CD enhancements

Required:

• 5+ years professional web development experience
• Strong proficiency in modern JavaScript/TypeScript and React
• Expert-level PHP and WordPress development skills
• Experience with MySQL/PostgreSQL database design and optimization
• Git version control and collaborative development workflows
• Security best practices and performance optimization
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
• Excellent communication skills for client interactions

Strongly Preferred (but not required):

• Experience with containerization (Docker) and cloud platforms (AWS preferred)
• Kubernetes/EKS operational knowledge or willingness to learn
• DevOps mindset: CI/CD, monitoring, infrastructure-as-code
• Understanding of SRE principles (reliability, observability, incident response)
• Infrastructure-as-Code experience (Terraform, CloudFormation)
• Previous MSP or agency experience serving multiple clients

Nice to Have:

• AWS certifications (Solutions Architect, Developer)
• Experience with streaming data or healthcare integrations (HL7)
• Python or Go for automation/scripting
• Exposure to observability tools (CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana)

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary: $85,000-$95,000 based on experience (higher end for candidates with DevOps/cloud infrastructure skills)
