Lead Software Engineer (AI) (x2)

We are partnering with a growing organization to identify a
Lead Software Engineer (AWS)
to join their high-performing team. This individual will play a critical role in delivering scalable, cloud-native solutions that support key business functions and modernize core systems.
This is a hands-on technical leadership role that combines deep AWS expertise with strong collaboration and communication skills. The successful candidate will drive solution design, development, and optimization, while mentoring peers and ensuring alignment with best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
Solution Delivery & Implementation

• Design, develop, and deploy new technical solutions that meet business requirements and technical specifications.
• Perform technical assessments and ensure solutions are delivered on time and to quality standards.

Stakeholder Collaboration

• Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to drive satisfaction and alignment.
• Translate business requirements into technical solutions and provide regular updates on project progress, issues, and milestones.

System & Process Optimization

• Assess existing systems to identify opportunities for optimization, modernization, and re-engineering.
• Recommend and contribute to system architecture improvements based on business needs and industry best practices.

Agile Development

• Actively participate in agile ceremonies (planning, stand-ups, reviews) to ensure collaborative and timely delivery.

Troubleshooting & Support

• Investigate and resolve technical issues during development, deployment, and production phases.
• Provide post-implementation support to minimize disruption to business operations.

Documentation & Knowledge Sharing

• Create and maintain clear, comprehensive documentation (e.g., code, processes, architecture diagrams, integration specifications).
• Mentor team members and foster a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.

Continuous Learning & Innovation

• Stay current on emerging AWS services, AI/ML tools, and industry trends to drive innovation.
• Promote and adopt best practices for cloud-native development and solution delivery.

Code Quality & Testing

• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code that adheres to established standards.
• Conduct code reviews, develop unit tests, and perform functional/integration testing.
• Implement data validation, quality checks, and debugging practices to ensure accuracy and reliability.

**Qualifications:
Technical Skills**

• AWS Services: Lambda, S3, RDS, DynamoDB, SNS, SQS
• AWS AI/ML: Bedrock, Agentic AI, Q Developer, Q Business, SageMaker
• Experience building and integrating APIs
• GitHub for version control and collaboration
• Strong SQL and Excel skills; experience with ETL processes for legacy systems
• Familiarity with Jira or similar project management tools
• Proficient in Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban)
• Strong understanding of SDLC processes, secure development practices, and compliance with data security/PII standards
• Expertise in data validation, cleansing, and accuracy practices

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 6–10 years of software engineering experience
• Highly Preferred:

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional
• Insurance or financial services industry experience

Compensation:
$120,000 to $145,000 annually
