Our Client is seeking a dynamic Digital Shelf & Category Analytics Associate to join their growing team. This role is perfect for someone who thrives at the intersection of data, eCommerce, and innovation.
What You’ll Do
- Merchant Enablement & Category Analytics Act as an analytical partner to category merchants, delivering insights, dashboards, and recommendations to drive growth across digital channels. Conduct performance reviews, identify assortment gaps, and support line reviews with data-driven narratives. Build self-service reporting tools to empower merchant teams.
- Competitive Intelligence Monitor competitor strategies across pricing, promotions, product launches, and retail media. Contribute to quarterly competitive landscape reports with actionable recommendations.
- Search & Discoverability Track organic and paid search performance, uncover keyword opportunities, and optimize product visibility. Provide insights on the relationship between search position and sales.
- Test & Learn Framework Support digital shelf experiments in content, pricing, and merchandising. Document results, scale successful approaches, and maintain testing calendars.
- AI & Emerging Capabilities Evaluate and pilot AI tools for content optimization, monitoring, and predictive analytics. Partner with IT/Data teams to assess feasibility and build business cases for AI-driven investments.
Skills & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Analytics, Data Science, Information Systems, or related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in analytics, eCommerce, or digital marketing (internships/co-ops count).
- Strong Excel skills and comfort with large datasets.
- Foundational SQL knowledge or willingness to learn quickly.
- Detail-oriented with strong communication skills.
- Experience with digital shelf analytics tools (Profitero, Salsify, Syndigo) preferred.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau) and cloud platforms (Databricks, Snowflake) a plus.
- Understanding of eCommerce fundamentals including SEO, product content, and retail media.
