Our Client is seeking a Cleared Data Scientist to join a high‑impact AI & Data team that helps organizations unlock the full value of their data and automate critical business processes. This team applies the complete spectrum of data capabilities—ranging from data acquisition and wrangling, engineering, visualization, and BI, to predictive analytics, machine learning, AI, and intelligent automation. The role directly supports mission‑driven decision‑making, operational efficiency, and strategic insights.
You’ll be part of a collaborative group focused on AI, advanced analytics, and automation, contributing to client delivery while supporting internal innovation, business development efforts, and continued professional growth.
Responsibilities
- Work as a data scientist/analytics/BI professional within cross‑functional teams.
- Build dashboards, develop predictive models, and support end‑to‑end analytics solutions.
- Lead and support data‑driven initiatives that identify key performance and compliance indicators.
- Analyze large datasets to extract insights that influence strategic decisions.
- Clean, integrate, and structure data from multiple sources for downstream use.
- Support data warehousing, storage, and data governance needs.
- Apply data mining techniques to uncover trends and patterns.
- Collaborate on client projects in on‑site or hybrid environments in the DC metro area.
- Continue advancing skills in data science, analytics tools, and consulting practices.
Required Qualifications
- Active and current SECRET-level federal security clearance
- Bachelor’s degree
- 3+ years of relevant professional experience (or 2+ years with a Master’s)
- Strong proficiency in Python
- Expert‑level experience building dashboards in Tableau
- Ability to design data models, build algorithms, and create predictive analytics workflows
- Experience leading analytical initiatives tied to mission or business outcomes
- Proficiency in working with large, complex datasets
- Strong data cleaning, integration, and warehousing skills
- Ability to define data requirements and ensure data integrity and availability
- Experience in data mining and pattern detection
- Proficiency with Power BI
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of SQL and/or R
- Familiarity with IT Risk or Cybersecurity
- Experience with debugging and QA processes
- Strong meeting facilitation and presentation skills
- Background in process improvement or redesign
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
