Ground Software Integration & Test Engineer
Role summary
Space Systems Integration (SSI) is seeking a Ground Software Integration & Test Engineer in Chantilly, VA. This role involves developing and maintaining test plans, supporting system verification, and coordinating with subject matter experts to create test content. The engineer will guide test activities, ensure alignment with vendors, and support integration of software and hardware-in-the-loop environments. Responsibilities include evaluating software performance, assessing mission compatibility, and participating in anomaly resolution. A Bachelor's degree in STEM, 5 years of systems engineering experience, and a TS/SCI clearance are required. Experience in system test planning and execution is also necessary.

SSI is seeking an Ground Software Integration & Test Engineer for a role in Chantilly, VA.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain test and evaluation plans and associated planning documentation.
- Support development and management of system verification plans and activities.
- Support other systems engineering processes and documentation.
- Coordinate with engineering subject matter experts to author test content and deliverables, which include test objectives, test measures, test procedures, and data analysis.
- Perform day-of-test roles that include guiding test activities.
- Ensure test integration and alignment with ground and space segment vendors and stakeholders.
- May support Tranche-specific test campaigns within the PWSA Ground Program (PGP)
- Work with development team engineers to support integration of both software and hardware-in-the-loop development, test, and operational environments.
- Evaluate software performance and assess its compatibility with new missions and CONOPS.
- Participate in anomaly resolution activities.
- Engage in test-related activities as systems and needs evolve.
### Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in STEM or relevant discipline.
- Technical and analytic understanding of satellite and ground system interaction.
- 5 years’ experience in systems engineering.
- Experience in system test or planning and execution of other types of analytic activities.
- Ability to work in fast paced environment with excellent oral and written communication skills.
- TS/SCI clearance required.
### Preferred Qualifications:
- 5 years’ experience in space or ground segment integration, test, and evaluation
- Agile framework experience including use of Jira/Confluence
- Experience with DoD and/or IC customers
- Recent experience with space and/or ground systems
