Role summary

SpaceX is seeking a Laser Tracker Toolmaker for their Starship Launch Hardware Fabrication & Tooling team in Cape Canaveral. This role involves building and improving mechanical systems for rocket launch facilities. Responsibilities include interpreting blueprints using GD&T, collecting geometric data with laser trackers and Verisurf software, establishing reference systems, analyzing data, and understanding fabrication process effects on large structures. The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of manufacturing/fabrication experience and preferred skills in model-based metrology, data analysis, and experience with various inspection equipment. The role requires working in extreme environments and potentially irregular hours to meet launch milestones.

SpaceX was founded under the belief that a future where humanity is out exploring the stars is fundamentally more exciting than one where we are not. Today SpaceX is actively developing the technologies to make this possible, with the ultimate goal of enabling human life on Mars.
