Role summary

SpaceX is seeking a Propulsion Analyst focused on the Chamber and Nozzle of the Raptor engine. This role involves conducting detailed structural, thermal, dynamic, and fatigue analyses using FEA and first principles to ensure engine performance and withstand extreme operational conditions. The analyst will collaborate with design and hardware teams, ground predictions in reality through hands-on work, and drive model anchoring and design improvements. A Bachelor's degree in engineering and at least 1 year of experience in structural analysis, design, or manufacturing are required. Proficiency in statics, mechanics of materials, fatigue, dynamics, heat transfer, and FEA setup/post-processing are preferred.

SpaceX was founded under the belief that a future where humanity is out exploring the stars is fundamentally more exciting than one where we are not. Today SpaceX is actively developing the technologies to make this possible, with the ultimate goal of enabling human life on Mars.
