Role summary
SpaceX is seeking a Transport Technician to lead the safe and efficient transport of flight hardware and modules between its various facilities. This role involves direct responsibility for the transport crew, including logistics technicians and contracted vendors. The technician will review transportation documentation, develop contingency plans, and serve as the primary point of contact for all in-transit decisions. Key responsibilities include providing technical input on DOT regulations, utilizing heavy equipment for loading/unloading, coordinating with the production schedule, and overseeing inspections and documentation. The role also requires tracking performance metrics and implementing process improvements to enhance safety, reliability, and efficiency. This is an onsite position requiring flexibility for all shifts, overtime, and weekends, with up to 40% travel.
SpaceX was founded under the belief that a future where humanity is out exploring the stars is fundamentally more exciting than one where we are not. Today SpaceX is actively developing the technologies to make this possible, with the ultimate goal of enabling human life on Mars.
