Role Description
The Business Systems Developer – Power Platform is responsible for the design, development, implementation, and continuous improvement of digital business systems across the organization. This role will serve as a critical link between operations and technology, translating business processes into scalable, automated solutions using Microsoft Power Platform (Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate) and SharePoint.
The primary objective of this position is to drive operational efficiency, data visibility, and process standardization by developing integrated systems that support manufacturing, project execution, quality control, and administrative functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with operations, engineering, and leadership teams to understand current processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency through digital tools
- Build and maintain Power BI dashboards that provide clear, accurate visibility into key business metrics
- Develop simple, effective applications using Power Apps to replace manual or paper-based processes
- Create automated workflows using Power Automate to streamline approvals, notifications, and routine tasks
- Design and organize SharePoint sites, lists, and document libraries to support structured data and controlled document management
- Ensure data accuracy and consistency across systems used for reporting and decision-making
- Continuously improve existing tools, dashboards, and workflows based on user feedback and business needs
- Provide support and basic training to team members to ensure proper use and adoption of developed systems
- Maintain clear documentation of systems, processes, and changes in alignment with company standards
Qualifications
- Experience with Microsoft Power Platform tools, including Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI
- Proficiency in software development, including programming and scripting languages (e.g., JavaScript, Python) and database management systems such as SQL
- Strong knowledge in business process automation, workflow solutions, and data integration strategies
- Problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve application performance issues
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and documentation skills
- Experience working in industrial or electrical equipment sectors is preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field is a strong advantage
- Microsoft Power Platform certifications are a plus
- Ability to work independently as well as within team environments
