We empower brands to uncover inefficiencies, optimize spend, and make smarter investments through advanced data science, automation, and intuitive GenAI software.
We’re looking for a highly skilled, motivated Senior DevOps Engineer to help build out the SportsBiz Application Platform.

SportsBiz's valuation as of Q4 2025 is $25M pre-money. Management is presently engaged in a $5M advanced seed round. With that said, all current team members are compensated through:
- Equity (until fundraising closes, anticipated Q1/Q2)
- Full salary + Equity + Benefits commence immediately after successful funding

Senior DevOps Engineer

We’re seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to own and evolve our cloud infrastructure, deployment automation, and developer experience. You’ll ensure the reliability, scalability, and security of the systems that power everything we build.
What You’ll DoArchitect, Build & Maintain Cloud Infrastructure
- Own, manage, and optimize our AWS environment (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, IAM, CloudWatch, etc.).
- Administer Google Cloud accounts, including permissions, security policies, and cost controls.
Design & Maintain Automation Pipelines
- Build and improve CI/CD pipelines across multiple repositories and services.
- Implement and advance our Infrastructure-as-Code initiatives (Terraform, CloudFormation, CDK, etc.).
Collaborate with data engineering and data science to support Databricks workflows, jobs, clusters, and deployment pipelines.Collaborate Across Engineering and Product
- Work closely with full-stack developers, data scientists, and product leaders.
- Align infrastructure decisions with business needs and technical roadmaps.
Develop Internal Tools & Services
- Contribute to development using React, Python, and Node.js where needed.
- Build automation tools and scripts that streamline development and operations.
Ensure Security, Reliability & Observability
- Configure monitoring, logging, and alerting to ensure 24/7 operational visibility.
- Troubleshoot incidents, implement root-cause fixes, and improve system resilience.
- Enforce strong cloud security and access control practices.
Requirements — What You BringCore Technical Requirements
- 5+ years in DevOps, SRE, Cloud Engineering, or similar role.
- Extensive hands-on experience with AWS (EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, VPC, Load Balancing, CloudWatch).
- Demonstrated experience managing Google Cloud accounts and identity/security configurations.Experience supporting Databricks environments—including clusters, jobs, repos, workflows, and access configurations.
- Strong programming ability in Python, Node.js, and comfort with React for internal tooling.
- Expert-level experience with CI/CD platforms (GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Travis CI, etc.).
- Solid experience with Docker and modern container orchestration (Kubernetes, ECS, EKS, GKE).
- Strong Terraform or CloudFormation experience (IaC is essential).
- Familiarity with cloud networking, VPNs, load balancers, and microservices architecture.
Compensation
$80,000–$100,000 per year (salary begins after funding)
