GCP Cloud Engineer
Role summary
We are seeking a contract GCP Cloud Engineer for a long-term engagement in San Leandro, CA. The role requires a strong understanding of cloud computing principles, PaaS design, microservices, and containers, with a minimum of 3 years of experience specifically with Google Cloud Platform. You will be responsible for building complex infrastructure programmatically using Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform or Ansible, and have working knowledge of on-premises and public cloud technologies including Kubernetes and Docker. Experience with Azure and CI/CD tools such as Urban Code Deploy or Harness is preferred. The position involves leading technical discussions and problem-solving sessions.

Duration : Long Term
Understanding of Urban Code Deploy (UCD) or Harness CD tools.
Associate cloud engineer certification for GCP (or better GCP certification).
Knowledge and understanding of Cloud computing, PaaS design principles and micro services and containers.
Working knowledge/experience with Azure and/or GCP, as well as some experience building complex infrastructure programmatically with IaC tools (Terraform/Ansible etc.).
Working knowledge/experience with on-premises and Public Cloud technologies, such as Cloud Foundry, Kubernetes, Docker.
Experience in leading / facilitating analysis of current systems and problem identification and resolution.
Ability to lead / facilitate technically complex discussions and working sessions.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $42.16 - $70.78 per hour
