Role summary
StandardAero is seeking an Engine Sales Manager for its Eastern Region. This role focuses on building relationships within the Business Aviation sector, achieving sales and margin objectives through technical expertise and product knowledge. The Engine Sales Manager will generate prospects, formulate work scope specifications, and finalize sales via direct customer interaction, strategic marketing, and personal contact. Responsibilities include managing opportunities in CRM, maintaining accurate quotes, controlling expenses, addressing customer service needs, and ensuring smooth transitions from point of sale to production. The role requires a minimum of 5 years of aviation MRO sales experience, corporate aviation experience, and proficiency in computer applications. Travel up to 75% is expected. Preferred candidates have technical expertise with specific turbofan engines and APUs and are proficient in Salesforce CRM.

As an Engine Sales Manager (PW300/500; HTF7000; TFE731; CFE738; Spey; Tay AE3007; GTCP36) you will assist the other Sales Managers (SM) with the relationship between Business Aviation and its customers, both in sales and customer relations with the goal to achieve sales and maintain positive margin and growth objectives. The ESM will be expected to generate prospects, formulate work scope specification, and finalize the sale through direct customer interactions, strategic marketing, and personal contact. The focus is on technical expertise in the specific discipline, with an emphasis on product knowledge and customer service to help the Global Sales Team and Quoters to craft customized proposals. The ESM will work as a team in the Eastern region, with other sales and production employees, and management to win business for StandardAero. Geographic area covered: Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, South Carolina, Tennessee, North Carolina and Virginia.
What you’ll do:
- Meet financial and individual volume goals (P&L) are achieved by managing the business for assigned product lines.
- Manage opportunities in the CRM and with customers directly, maintaining accurate quotes, controlling expenses, addressing customer service needs, and maintaining high closing rates to win work.
- Maintain a high level of involvement in all aspects of the sales process.
- Identify and create opportunities (RFQs) for assigned product lines, driving collateral growth, and closing opportunities.
- Work closely with other Sales Managers, Quoters, site management, production and scheduling departments to ensure a complete and accurate proposal and smooth transition from POS to production handoff.
- Conduct sales calls through visits, correspondence, telephone, and email.
- Monitor sales/market conditions within assigned sales territory.
- Assist in forecasting of corporate aircraft maintenance for specific product lines, including PW 300/500, HTF7000, TFE731, CFE738, AE 3007, Spey & Tay, GTCP36.
- Provide input for development of annual sales plan for assigned product lines.
- Maintains high visibility in industry through involvement with trade association events, customer events, and supplier sales events.
- Expand sales within assigned territory by joining and maintaining relationships with regional aviation groups.
- Support development of appropriate marketing strategies and materials that contribute to successful sales campaigns for assigned areas of focus.
- Performs other duties as required by the Sales Director
Position Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of aviation MRO inside/outside sales experience
- Must have Corporate Aviation experience
- Must be available to travel on short notice, up to 75%
- Proficient in computer applications, including CRM, Microsoft Word, and Excel
- Strong planning, organizational, analytical, leadership, interpersonal, decision making, oral and written communication skills
- Strong negotiation, conflict resolution and customer service skills
- Must reside in the aforementioned territory (MS, AL, GA, SC, TN, NC, VA)
- Must possess valid US driver’s license
- Must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship
- Must possess a high school diploma or GED equivalent
Preferred Characteristics:
- Technical expertise with Pratt & Whitney, Honeywell, and Rolls Royce turbofan engines and APUs
- Assertive, possesses high energy, and is self-motivated
- Proficient in Salesforce CRM
- Possess a valid US Passport
