Role summary

The Utah National Guard is seeking a Data Analyst to enhance organizational efficiency through data-driven insights. This full-time, on-site role involves collecting, organizing, and manipulating data for policies, forecasts, research, and reports. Responsibilities include applying statistical methods for data interpretation and analysis, ensuring data quality, visualizing data through graphs and infographics, and communicating findings via summaries and presentations to various stakeholders. Roles And Responsibilities
The Data Analyst plays a crucial role in improving organizational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities Include

  • Collecting, organizing, and manipulating data for use in policies, forecasts, research, and writing reports.
  • Utilizing statistical methods to sample, interpret, evaluate, and analyze data.
  • Assisting with data quality efforts to ensure data in the warehouse is valid.
  • Visualizing data through the use of graphs, infographics, and other methods.
  • Drafting summaries and communications regarding statistical projects and delivering presentations to various audiences.
  • Responding to questions and providing statistical information to management, staff, and other governmental agencies.

Qualifications
Minimum qualifications:

  • Ability to perform sedentary work in a typical office setting.
  • Ability to work a Schedule B full-time status.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field.
  • Demonstrated experience with SQL.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, specifically Excel.
  • Self-starter with proven analytical skills, business judgment, and acumen.
  • Demonstrated organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks with high attention to detail.
